Lenovo K30-T midranger vists Chinese TENAA for certification

Lenovo has reached to the Chinese TENAA for certification of its upcoming smartphone called K30-T. As a result, we get to see what the phone looks like and take a peek at its specs. The Lenovo K30-T is a midranger with a 5″ IPS LCD 720p display, resulting in a pixel density of 293 ppi. Powering the phone is a 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU and 1GB of RAM. Internal memory is 8GB, but is complemented with a microSD card slot for expansion. At the back, there’s an 8MP snapper that’s surrounded with a metal ring for protection. Below it is an LED flash and a secondary mic for noise cancellation. A 2MP camera takes care of selfies at the front. The phone runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box. TENAA has also measured the phone and its dimensions are 70.5mm wide and 8.2mm thin. The Lenovo K30-T weighs 126 […]

Xiaomi Mi 4 and Mi Pad getting price cuts

It seems that Xiaomi has reconsidered the prices of its Xiaomi Mi 4 flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi Pad and the Xiaomi TV. Tmall, an online storefront of Xiaomi, has put question marks in the prices of those three, Xiaomi headphones and a battery pack. Finally the MiBox has already been discounted. The Xiaomi Mi 4 was priced CNY 1,999 ($325), but that coincides with higher-specced Meizu MX4, Oppo Find 7 and IUNI U3, the three of which have bigger, higher-res screens. There are sources who claim that a 7 is hiding behind the question mark which would put the new price at CNY 1,799 ($294). The Tegra K1-packing, iPad mini lookalike tablet, the Xiaomi Mi Pad, was priced at the same CNY 1,999 point but it’s not clear how much its price will drop (perhaps a similar CNY 1,799 target). The Xiaomi Mi Box was already knocked down from […]

TENAA leaks 64-bit Huawei Honor 4X

Huawei’s latest phone has leaked on China’s TENAA with respectable specs and an very attractive rumored price tag. Destined to become Huawei’s main weapon against rival Xiaomi’s Redmi lineup the Honor Che1-CL20 (which will probably be called Honor 4X) has LTE support, a 64-bit Snapdragon chipset, 5.5″ 720p display, 2GB of RAM and Android 4.4 KitKat on tap. The buil-in storage should be expandable through a microSD card slot and there will be a 13MP and 5MP back and front camera duo. Huawei Hono 4X Thanks to the Snapdragon chipset, the Huawei Honor 4X will be able to connect to FDD and TD LTE networks as well as TD-SCDMA, WCDMA, CDMA and GSM. Projected to cost around CNY 800 or around €100 the Huawei Honor 4X should be very dangerous to Xiaomi’s hold on the Chinese market. Source | Via

HTC Desire 820 mini briefly appears on HTC China site

The HTC 820mu recently passed through TENAA but the company briefly featured the upcoming phone on its Chinese web store, giving us a glimpse of what’s to come. We are looking at a low cost phone with 5″ screen that will be called HTC Desire 820 mini. The TENAA specifications show the device is anything but mini – it measures 150.1 x 72.7 x 9.6mm and weighs 162g. That’s taller and wider than a 5.2″ LG G2. HTC aren’t known for dainty bezels but the Desire 820 mini like its bigger namesake has front-facing stereo speakers around the 5″ 720p screen (294ppi) making it pretty large for its size. There’s also a 5MP front-facing camera and an 8MP main camera. The smartphone is powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz processor with 1GB of RAM. The chipset make and model are unknown but the handset will run Android 4.4.4 KitKat with Sense […]

Meizu MX4 with glossy white back cover shows up

A couple of new photos reveal that Meizu is working to release a glossy white version of the Meizu MX4. According to GizChina a gold back cover is also planned to launch soon. The Meizu MX4 is by far the most premium-looking smartphone the company has ever made. Part of the good looks of the phone is its metal frame, part is because of the matte back finish. As you’ve probably read in our hands-on of the phone, we quite like the feel of the phone. A glossy back cover will certainly bring back the vibe of the old generations Meizu MX. In the photo below you can see the differences between the glossy and matte white back covers. But if you want something bigger than the Meizu MX4, the company is working hard on a larger version to make you happy. The Mezixu MX4 Pro leaked yesterday in black […]

OnePlus One pre-orders go live for one hour on October 27

OnePlus announced its upcoming pre-order system for the One last month, when it only said it would roll out in October. And today the Chinese company has followed up with an actual date and time at which you’ll be able to pre-order its first smartphone, no invite needed. So here’s what you need to mark in your calendar: October 27, 15:00 (3 pm) GMT. That’s 8 am PST and 11 am EST for those of you in the States, or 4 pm if you’re somewhere in Central Europe. There’s a big catch to all this, though. The pre-orders will only be live for exactly one hour. To make sure everything will go smoothly, you can already ‘prepare’ your pre-order on a special website, adding the OnePlus One to your cart, and entering your details – so you’ll need to do as little as possible next Monday. To celebrate the opening […]
